Cen-Tex Insurers 6 years in

Yesterday Facebook threw me a reminder that caught me off guard.

It said my anniversary was coming up. My first thought was, “That’s in June… but thanks for the heads up.”

Then I looked closer.

It was not talking about a wedding anniversary.

It was talking about six years since I opened Cen-Tex Insurers.

That stopped me for a minute.

I did not think much about it at first, but as the day went on it kept sitting in the back of my mind. It made me think about where this agency started, what I thought it would become, and what it actually looks like today.

And the honest answer is this.

It looks nothing like what I pictured six years ago.

But that is not a bad thing.

Started From The Bottom Now Were Here

When I first opened Cen-Tex Insurers, I had a vision like most business owners do.

I pictured growth happening faster.

I pictured everything clicking into place sooner.

I pictured having it all figured out.

What I did not fully understand at the time was how much of building a business comes down to patience, consistency, and learning through mistakes.

Starting an agency from nothing is not a straight path. It is a series of small steps, setbacks, adjustments, and wins that do not always show up on the outside.

There were days early on when I wondered if anyone would even call.

There were weeks when it felt like progress was slow.

There were moments when I had to figure things out the hard way.

That is the part of business you do not always see from the outside.

The Foundation That Matters Most

Even though the agency does not look like what I imagined back then, one thing matters more than anything else.

The foundation.

Cen-Tex Insurers is built on real relationships.

I still have clients and referral partners who have been with me since day one. People who trusted me when this agency was brand new and still growing.

That means everything to me.

Over the years, some clients have come and gone. That is part of the insurance business. Life changes. Needs change. People move.

But here is something I have learned.

When you truly take care of people, when you answer the phone, when you show up during claims, when you explain coverage instead of rushing through it, those relationships do not disappear.

Many of those clients come back.

Not because of a price.

Because of trust.

What Six Years Has Taught Me

Six years in business teaches you things you cannot learn from a textbook.

It teaches you that growth takes time.

It teaches you that consistency matters more than quick wins.

It teaches you that reputation is built one conversation at a time.

Most of all, it teaches you that insurance is not really about policies.

It is about people.

It is about helping someone understand what they actually have covered.

It is about making sure a family is protected when something unexpected happens.

It is about being someone clients can call and know they will get a real answer, not a call center script.

That is what I care about most.

Looking Ahead

When I look at Cen-Tex Insurers today, I see something stronger than I ever imagined six years ago.

I see a solid foundation.

I see a growing network of clients and referral partners.

I see a business that is built on trust instead of shortcuts.

And I feel more motivated now than ever to keep growing and helping more people.

Because the truth is, building a business out of nothing is not easy.

If it were, everyone would do it.

But the challenge is what makes it meaningful.

A Simple Thank You and an Invitation

If you are already a client, thank you.

Thank you for trusting me to help protect what matters to you.

If you are a realtor or lender looking for an insurance partner who wants to make Insurance the easiest part of your closings, I would love to connect.

If you are another agent who believes in relationships and helping people the right way, there is always room to work together.

And if you have been watching from the sidelines, wondering if you should reach out, this is your sign.

Let’s talk.

Because at the end of the day, Cen-Tex Insurers is not just about insurance.

It is about people, trust, and building something that lasts.
